Author Guidelines

Important Note

If you are facing a submission issue with the message:
"You are not authorized to access the requested resource", please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your OJS account.

  2. Go to your User Dashboard.

  3. Click on Edit Profile.

  4. Navigate to the Roles tab.

  5. Check the Author box (or request the Journal Manager/Editor to assign you the "Author" role).

  6. Save the changes.

You should now be able to initiate a submission.

Article Preparation

The authors will be required to prepare the source text exclusively in MS Word using the journal style file ( Word Template). Figures must be prepared in JPG/JPEG and appropriately incorporated into the text. The bibliography should be formatted using the Template. Do not upload a PDF of the manuscript.

Note that articles written using Latex are not accepted.

Electronic submission

Only electronic submissions are possible.

Submission should be performed using JSSGT website by following online submission steps.

Type of papers

JSSGT publishes research papers, review papers, short papers, and bibliography papers.

Research papers are limited to approximately 25 pages. Short papers are not to exceed 5 pages.

When a special issue is targeted, the authors should select 'Special issue' and submit a comment on which special issue they address.

Paper content

Contributions are accepted for review on the understanding that the same work has not been published and that it is not being considered for publication elsewhere.

Substantially revised versions of papers published in not easily accessible conference proceedings can also be submitted. The editor-in-chief, should be notified at the time of submission and the author is responsible for obtaining the necessary copyright releases for all copyrighted material.

The language of the journal is English.

Workflow

Each paper appropriate to the journal will be refereed by a minimum of two referees. The feedback is estimated to be received in 1-2 months from the submission. Upon acceptance, the authors will be asked to make a final submission.

Note that there are no article processing charges. Green open access is ensured.

Ethics and Publication Malpractice

The papers that

  • are not appropriate for the journal's main track or its special issues or
  • are not respecting the rule of using word templates or
  • are not in English language or
  • are flagged as including text similar to other published papers (assisted and manual checks)

will be rejected without passing the review process. More about ethics and malpractices here.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Author Declaration

I hereby declare that:

  1. The article I have submitted to the journal for review is original, has been written by the stated authors, and has not been published elsewhere.

  2. The article is not currently under consideration for publication by any other journal and will not be submitted to another journal while it is under review by this journal.

  3. The article contains no libelous or otherwise unlawful statements and does not include any material that infringes upon the personal or proprietary rights of any other person or entity.

  4. I have obtained written permission from the copyright holders for any excerpts from copyrighted works included in the article and have properly credited the sources.

  5. If the article includes any personal details or images of third parties, I have obtained written permission or consent from those individuals.

  6. If the article was prepared jointly with other authors, I have informed my co-author(s) of the terms of this publishing agreement, and I am authorized to sign on their behalf as their agent.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor has it been before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labelled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
